Emo, a photo by Mrs. McLaughlin, edited by Sydney Barnes on Flickr.
This photo was actually taken by accident by Mrs. McLaughlin. I'm not sure if it has any particular symbolism but I did think that the cluttered background and kind of warm feel of the picture went well with what I was trying to say. These six word memoirs were a fun and interesting exercise and finding the pictures to match the words was challenging. But six words isn't a lot to tell a story so you have to break it down to the barest of emotions. That's why they always end up sounding 'emo'.
Hmm, this picture looks familiar! Great job on your six word memoirs. We were going to add the words to the pics during Wednesday's class, but you've one that already so you are ahead of the game. In this particular memoir you discuss the "emo"tion of the six word memoirs. Were you suprised that six words could hold so much "emo" tion?
ReplyDeleteI think because the writer doesn't have enough word to say everything they're truely feeling that they have to get to the raw emotion behind it. that's why i think they end up sounding 'emo'
